Is Merrick Garland’s Law Suit Against Texas’s Abortion Law baseless?

Many pundits and news outlets have been quick to jump on the DOJ’s lawsuit against Texas’s new abortion law as politically motivated and nothing more than pandering to the liberal base of the Democratic Party. I stand firmly on the belief that this is nothing but a politically motivated lawsuit. The Democrats are showing once again, they care nothing about the unborn who cannot defend themselves, but more about votes. They have proven they will take votes over the unborn. What kind of defense is “This is a woman’s right to do whatever she wants with her body”.

So if it was legal for me to eat my children, should it be legal for you to abort your children? Why is it okay for you to be prosecuted under criminal laws if you murdered your child in an act of cannibalism, but if you murder your child via abortions it’s okay? How can anyone justify something like that? Democrats would throw me in jail if I decided to eat my children, but I can have as many abortions as I like. I can use abortion as a type of birth control and Democrats would be okay with that. That says everything about their character and stance on human life.

Their constant attacks on Republicans for being anti-women or waging a war on women are so absurd because when Republican legislators have put forth legislation to protect women from being forced into abortions by third parties there isn’t one Democrat voting in favor of them. This all boils down to power and money. Politicians love to talk about how morally upright they are while simultaneously standing behind rhetoric like this is my body while turning around and saying things like you cannot own guns, you cannot eat what you want. Politicians claim Republicans want women barefoot and pregnant while denying support for welfare programs that help struggling mothers.

If politicians want people to get sterilized then why are they fighting to keep Planned Parenthood alive? There are so many contradictions within liberalism/left-wing politics it’s hard to know where to start discussing. Do politicians really believe these hypocritical statements? More likely politicians believe whatever serves their interest at any given moment. Whatever helps get them elected/re-elected is what matters most. The truth means little or nothing except that which benefits these Democrats.

Democrats sit idly by while violent criminals harm innocent citizens and then focus almost exclusively on gun rights advocates. Democrats try to frame gun rights advocates as some amorphous organization hellbent on violence and chaos, yet we hear nothing of BLM supporters running through Chicago streets killing police officers, we hear nothing about riots erupting at Trump rallies and we hear absolutely nothing from Democrats condemning these acts of violence. Instead, we get heavily regulated gun laws that seem only designed to restrict law-abiding citizens rather than limit violent criminals’ access to firearms.

If Democrats were serious about stemming gun violence they would first target those cities that have some of the strictest gun laws on earth and instead see rampant shootings and murders every single day. Laws, regulations, more laws…it’s never enough. No matter how much is written, no matter how much red tape is created, it’s never enough to stop anything. I’ve said time and time again that if you are willing to break a few basic rules you can go right ahead with pretty much anything else.
