Truth Seeking Truth

The judge’s actions have raised a lot of questions: Is this the beginning of socialism? Will judges now be able to temper justice with Socialism? This Mom who is trying to see her child is being met with anything but legal rights. Because she does not want vaccinations, are her personal views infringing on others’ safety and health? I am in no way a perfect writer or legal expert, but even I know that what happened isn’t right. As far as last time I checked we were given our civil liberties by law rather than through our own desires; if someone commits an action against another person then they will receive their punishment accordingly from within accordance of those laws.”
We don’t need to look far to find more division- Now it comes from the courts
Following virtual custody and child support hearing earlier this month, Firlit told WFLD she hasn’t seen her son in nearly three weeks. The mother lost her custody rights on Aug. 10, the day the court found her unfit to raise the child due to her vaccination status.
Apparently, the stripping of Firlit’s right to raise and care for her son came down to only her COVID-19 vaccination status. Per WFLD, the judge found out she did not wish to receive the vaccine, and so he took away her parental rights until she agrees to get the shot. Read More
There is a possibility that this case could go to the Chicago State Supreme Court. The fight would then begin for children who are home-educated because of vaccinations, despite never having them themselves. It really wouldn’t make a difference if it were either just one parent against another going after visitation rights instead – not many children have been vaccinated in homeschooling communities anyway.
As reported first by WFLD-TV reported that a woman named Rebecca Firlit has been divorced from her husband for seven years. Despite the ending of the marriage, she and her former husband shared custody of their 11-year-old son.https://www.youtube.com/embed/iDlNeLW6-Lw?start=8&feature=oembed
“I miss my son more than anything. It’s been very difficult. I haven’t seen him since August 10th,” she told the outlet.
“I think that it’s wrong. I think that it’s dividing families,” she said. “And I think it’s not in my son’s best interest to be away from his mother.”
“In this case, you have a judge, without any matter before him regarding the parenting time with the child deciding ‘Oh, you’re not vaccinated. You don’t get to see your child until you are vaccinated,’” she said. “That kind of exceeds his jurisdiction.”
My thoughts on this judgment are as follows: It looks like the judge has allowed his personal beliefs to influence a judicial decision. This was not something I expected so soon, but it’s been in the cards for some time now that we’d eventually reach an impasse where people wouldn’t agree with one another about vaccines and other matters of public health policy. In spite of my reservations regarding forcing vaccinations upon American citizens, there is no denying that COVID-19 needs to be dealt with quickly and effectively given its rate of spread across our country right now. As far as all those facts go–I’m certainly not a scientist or otherwise qualified enough in any way shape or form to dispute them…but what I am witnessing here today is quite puzzling indeed.
I think it’s safe to say that the Supreme Court will have a lot of people on pins and needles waiting to see how they rule in this case. It’s going to be interesting, but there are no guarantees as to what could happen with the court decision. Will we get another SCOTUS vote or a split? What would you do if your health care was dependent upon this ruling by our country’s highest courts? We’ll keep you posted!
