Biden Or The Democrats Don’t Care About The Haitians

In an interview that aired 20 years ago, President Barack Obama’s vice president, Joe Biden, made statements about the Haitian government and other nations in Africa that have raised eyebrows in light of recent events. In a 1994 interview with Charlie Rose of PBS, Joe Biden implied that other nations were not as strong as the United States and should be forced to change or be punished if they refused to do so. There are also questions about whether Joe Biden’s comments from two decades ago foreshadowed policies from today’s administration regarding foreign aid and international affairs, particularly regarding nations in Africa and their governments.
In his interview with Charlie Rose, Joe Biden claimed that The reason that a lot of those people are sleeping on the streets is that they have been driven out of their homes by the Duvalier dictatorship that has armed thugs driving people off their land, raping women. Despite calling Jean-Claude brutal, President Obama’s anti-terrorism czar argued for putting off sanctions against human rights violators in Haiti. He called for sanctions only if there was no progress made in six months’ time. When asked if he was engaging in leaving open loopholes for brutal dictators like Jean-Claude to get away with human rights violations, he replied: That would be my hope.
“If Haiti, a god awful thing to say, if Haiti just quietly sunk into the Caribbean or rose up 300 feet, it wouldn’t matter a whole lot in terms of our interest,” Biden told Charlie Rose, then of PBS.
If we can show demonstrable improvement and success here, then I think we can go forward with some semblance of consensus. That means not just political consensus; it means consensus among those who care about what happens here as well as those who watch from afar. We do need action now, but we don’t want quick fixes that will ultimately make things worse and create more refugees and victims later on.
The Clintons and Democrats share ownership of these policies; few American politicians could truly claim never to have spoken ill of Haitians or defended or participated in policy decisions that caused them great harm. And most voters knew how they felt about Haiti when they voted for Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, or Barack Obama. When Americans have to decide whether they’ll elect Joe Biden president of the United States for a second term, they have to pay attention. He still thinks they are dumb enough not to realize what he did—and so is willing to use his own words against him.
Joe Biden president of the United States for a second term, they have to pay attention. He still thinks they are dumb enough not to realize what he did—and so is willing to use his own words against him. Joe Biden will continue to lie and distract from the facts and his own words unless we get him and Democrats out of power. One way to do that would be in 2024 Let’s take back America by voting for a strong Conservative President. Vote Republican!!!
