Republicans need to get out and vote in the mid-terms of 2022 and take back the power from the Democrats.

Socialism My %#$@ !!

In an effort to prevent noncitizens from participating in elections, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) plans to introduce legislation that would reduce federal funding to local governments that allow noncitizens to vote in their elections, according to reports from the Washington Post. Rubio’s legislation would effectively put the squeeze on cities where large populations of immigrants live and work, such as Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, and New York City, and force them to decide between cutting services or disenfranchising their undocumented residents.

U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., is introducing a bill that would take away federal funding for cities like San Francisco and Chicago if they continue allowing non-citizens, including undocumented immigrants, from voting in their elections, according to his office… Not only does current law already prohibit non-citizens from voting in federal elections, but these policies are also a violation of state law, Rubio said in a statement issued by his office Tuesday night after an aide briefed reporters on the legislation. The idea that local officials would actively encourage illegal immigrants to vote baffles me.

Americans should be able to trust that elected officials will uphold their oaths by enforcing our laws and working to secure our borders instead of ignoring them, Rubio said. There must be consequences for violating them. These municipalities have made it abundantly clear that they want nothing to do with complying with immigration law so I’m introducing legislation to cut off taxpayer dollars to these cities. My bill gives priority to American citizens over people who are here illegally. We must defend American citizens’ right not only to live in America but also to govern themselves within their communities through voted representatives.

This effort by Senator Rubio stands out because most Republican lawmakers have distanced themselves from similar proposals. Last year, Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, introduced an amendment that would have stripped citizenship rights for legal permanent residents who had committed what he deemed acts of terrorism (including attacking military facilities or flying planes into buildings).

In September 2011, six Democratic mayors wrote Rubio urging him to stop King’s anti-sanctuary city amendment as well as other efforts: Because we fear that any restriction on admitting immigrants into our country based on their countries of origin or religious affiliation may lead to increased discrimination against Arab or Muslim individuals residing in your home state…

Conservatives are searching for ways to prevent non-U.S. citizens from voting in elections in states and cities where it is allowed. How about we send immigrants and their offspring back home where they belong? Their numbers are growing like crazy, at a higher rate than what we can assimilate, especially if they vote socialist like many of them do. Instead of cutting funding from cities that give non-U.S. citizens voting rights, how about we start cutting funding from schools that teach U.S.-born children not to be Americans? Do we need another generation of UH-OHs who don’t even want to speak English or follow our laws?

What if you could force everyone coming here legally to take a test proving they understood American history, government, culture, and law—would that cut down on voter fraud? If people have nothing in common with you then why would you allow them to make decisions on your behalf by voting for local officials whose power rivals that of federal officials? What if we gave citizenship tests with questions only real Americans would know—

like Who won World War II? or What’s special about July 4th?—I’m betting it wouldn’t exactly be tough love. I’d guess most new citizens couldn’t pass because many aren’t educated enough themselves (or maybe just aren’t smart enough) but either way that’s no excuse. Socialism is closer than we think. Democrats must be booted from power. This is just the start of the beginning…
