DOJ indicts Oath Keepers leader, members on seditious conspiracy charges involving Jan. 6 attack

The Department of Justice has announced seditious conspiracy charges against Oath Keepers leader Stewart Rhodes and several of its members. The indictment alleges that the group conspired to overthrow the government and levy war against the United States. This comes as a surprise to many, as the Oath Keepers have long been considered a peaceful organization dedicated to upholding the Constitution. Supporters of the group are understandably outraged by these charges, and questions are now being raised about the validity of the DOJ’s case.

The three indictments mark the Justice Department’s first Jan. 6 use of the seditious conspiracy charge, which accuses Oath Keepers leader Stewart Rhodes and other members of the group of conspiring to “oppose by force the execution of the laws governing the transfer of presidential power” from outgoing President Donald Trump to incoming President Joe Biden. Reported by ABC

The recent indictment of the Oath Keepers has many people asking if this is another democrat witch hunt. The indictments, handed down by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri, accused several members of the group of violating federal firearms and explosives laws.

While it’s certainly possible that these individuals are guilty of the crimes they’re charged with, there’s also a chance that they’re being targeted for their conservative beliefs. This wouldn’t be the first time that Democrats have used false charges to target conservatives, and it likely won’t be the last. We need to make sure that we protect our right to free speech and freedom of assembly, no matter what our political views may be.

A conviction on the charge of seditious conspiracy carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. For this reason, it is important that any individual who is charged with this crime receive the best possible defense. If you are facing charges of seditious conspiracy, it is important to contact an experienced criminal defense attorney right away. Your attorney will be able to review the facts of your case and advise you on the best course of action.

The Department of Justice has been under scrutiny lately for allegedly working with the Democrats to go after conservatives like the Oath Keepers. Some believe that the DOJ is abusing its power in an attempt to silence conservative voices. Is this true, or is there something more going on? We’ll take a closer look at what’s happening at the DOJ and try to get to the bottom of it.

In 2022, the midterm elections will be a pivotal point for the Republican Party. If they don’t come out and vote, Democrats will maintain control of the government. This could have disastrous consequences for the country as a whole. The Republicans need to take this election seriously and make sure that their voices are heard. Failure to do so could result in significant setbacks for the party and for the nation as a whole. So get out there and vote Republican in 2022! Your future depends on it!
