Republicans need to get out and vote in the mid-terms of 2022 and take back the power from the Democrats.

McConnell Under Fire From Lindsay Graham

Posted 1/13/2022, by Michael Cavalier – Editor

Mitch McConnell is in a difficult position. He needs to mend fences with Donald Trump, but also maintain his independence from the president. It won’t be easy, but it’s essential for the Senate majority leader. McConnell has been able to lead the Senate Republicans effectively because he has been seen as an independent voice.

He has distanced himself from Trump when necessary, and he hasn’t hesitated to criticize the president when he thinks it’s warranted. This has allowed him to maintain good relationships with both Trump and the members of his caucus. He could find himself in trouble if he doesn’t repair his relationship with Trump quickly?

Mitch McConnell has been in the senate since 1984. That’s thirty-two years of experience. He’s been in the minority and the majority. He knows how to get things done. In this time, he’s established himself as a powerful force in Washington, D.C. Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-S.C.) said late Wednesday that he would only vote for Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to lead the Republican Party in the upper chamber if he proves he can work effectively with former President Trump

“If you want to be a Republican leader in the House or the Senate, you have to have a working relationship with President Donald Trump. He’s the most consequential Republican since Ronald Reagan,” Graham, a close ally of Trump’s, said on Fox News’s “Hannity.“ “It’s his nomination if he wants it, and I think he’ll get reelected in 2024.” “I like Sen. McConnell,” Graham added. “Can Sen. McConnell effectively work with the leader of the Republican Party, Donald Trump? I’m not going to vote for anybody that can’t have a working relationship with President Trump.” “If you can’t do that, you will fail,” Graham also said.

Mitch McConnell despite what Lindsay Grahm has said Wednesday. Grahm is but one voice in the senate who has issued this ultimatum to McConnell. I’m watching Mitch McConnell and he seems to be all the Republican he can be. He is well known for not being a follower, but a leader. I don’t want yes men or women Representatives in the Republican party.

Senator Mitch McConnell, proved Wednesday that he is not a quitter by surviving a challenge to his leadership from Senator Lindsay Grahm who has said he will not vote for him as the Republican leader in the Senate unless he mends things with former President Trump. Despite what Grahm has said, McConnell will continue to be an effective leader for the Republican Party in the Senate.

I believe if anyone should be replaced I would have to say it’s Lindsay Grahm. He is always all over the place with withdrawing what he says just to please whoever it may be. This has nothing to do with my like or dislike of him, it’s all about independent thinking. Mitch McConnell would get my vote if I were a Kentuckian.

God Bless America, God Bless the Veterans
