Rudy Giuliani is currently in talks to testify before the congressional committee investigating the September 11 attacks. Some are wondering why Giuliani, who was mayor of New York City at the time, would consider giving testimony. There are a few possible reasons.

One reason could be that Giuliani is trying to distance himself from any potential blame in the attack. A second reason could be that he wants to highlight his own achievements during and after the attack. Rudolph Giuliani, who was prominent in Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election result, is considering giving testimony to the congressional committee investigating the deadly January 6 Capitol insurrection, the New York Times reported on Sunday

Rudolph W. Giuliani, who as former President Donald J. Trump’s lawyer helped lead the effort to overturn the results of the 2020 election, is in discussions with the House Jan. 6 committee about responding to its questions, according to three people familiar with the matter.

The extent of any assistance that Mr. Giuliani might provide remains unclear and the negotiations could easily fall apart, especially as Mr. Trump continues to publicly rail against the investigation.

But Mr. Giuliani, through his lawyer, has signaled to the committee that he plans to take a less confrontational stance toward its requests than some other members of Mr. Trump’s inner circle who are fighting the committee’s subpoenas or have otherwise refused to cooperate.

Mr. Giuliani’s discussions with committee officials suggest that he may be seeking to avoid a potentially costly legal fight over a subpoena that was issued to him last month. By engaging with the committee, Mr. Giuliani could also make it more difficult for the House to issue a criminal referral of him to the Justice Department for contempt of Congress if he in the end does not comply with the subpoena. New York Times’

So what it all comes down to with Rudy is money. I have to question is Rudy Giuliani, willing to say what Pelosi and the Democrats want him to say just to avoid any legal cost? Giuliani has been attacking Nancy Pelosi about the former President, Donald Trump:

(NEWSER)–(2019), President Trump’s lawyer likened House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to “Red Scare” Sen. Joseph McCarthy on Sunday night, saying she wants to see Trump in prison but “doesn’t have a particular crime in mind.” Pelosi said Trump “should go to prison,” Giuliani tweeted.

“But she said nothing about a trial or a jury or a presumption of innocence. Is this worse than Joe McCarthy? They are destroying any adherence to our constitution. And the Fake News failure to hold them accountable is corrupt.”

Sources said last week that Pelosi told fellow Democrats that instead of impeaching Trump, it would be better to defeat him in 2020 and see him prosecuted for alleged wrongdoing, the Hill reports.

Was Giuliani’s reason for backing former President Trump motivated by money? Did he see a cash cow with Trump? Now that it isn’t profitable for Rudy he is willing to meet with Pelosi and others on the January 6 investigation. I can almost be sure he will talk.

God Bless America, God Bless the Veterans
